Constable Savage Rides Again

Back in the early 80s, Liberals loved the 'Constable Savage' sketch on 'Not The Nine O'Clock News'. This was where Mel Smith played Rowan Atkinson was a senior officer questioning the eponymous constable over series of arrests of a black man, for offences such as 'walking on the cracks in the pavement', 'possession of thick lips' and 'looking at me in a funny way'. Who have guessed that, two decades later, the Left would be introducing offences that are every bit the equal of 'looking at me in a funny way'.

Take events oop North. The race hustlers have now established a new principle: not only are there naughty, naughty words, but you can also be done for adopting an offensive tone of voice. So I guess that means no more referring to David Lammy as a 'well-respected politician and noted intellectual' then ? No word yet on whether looking at minorities in a funny way is to be made an offence, but I'm sure that even now Liberals are bringing forward legislation to cover offensive miming.
