Liberal Literary Criticism: Not Enough Men Waving Their Wands About

Raising further questions about the effects of amyl nitrate on mental health, the Pink Wedge is all-a-flutter over J K Rowling posthumously outing one of her characters. JulieM particularly liked this comment:
And a spokesman for gay rights group Stonewall added: "It's great that JK has said this. It shows that there's no limit to what gay and lesbian people can do, even being a wizard headmaster."
Yes, she's helping shatter the glass ceiling that keeps so many gays out of the vibrant magic industry.

Hmmmm...... you know, I keep hearing about how tough these guys have it in modern Britain, but then they pop up, twittering about wizards. I begin to suspect that their life is not so hellish after all.

Still, the winner of Best In Show was, inevitably, Peter Tatchell:
I am disappointed that she did not make Dumbledore's sexuality explicit in the Harry Potter book. Making it obvious would have sent a much more powerful message of understanding and acceptance."
Note to the Nu Tories: this is why your predecessors passed Clause 28.
